According to a survey conducted by the National Bike Registry, the average four-year university student has a 53 percent chance of having their bicycle stolen at some point during college. Only three months into the 2013 spring semester and 14 bicycles have already been reported stolen from campus. 76 were reported stolen in 2012, which is more than double the number reported in 2011!
